A horror fairy tale about the first hunt. About how each man kills the thing he loves.
A hunter’s son is born with antlers. They grow back every night, puncturing the pillow. The father saws them off. The boy learns to hunt. Parental warmth meshes with disgust, dreams with reality, childlike sensitivity with lessons on killing. No dialogue — only animal sounds and the silence between them.
